International, Domestic Tourism on Rise in Pakistan!
Prominent tourist spots in Pakistan wore an isolated look sometime after owing to a poor law and order status in the country due to the hazard of terrorism. In the past couple of years though, the beautiful valleys, strangely quiet deserts and historical buildings appear to be to have ditched the ghosts of the past to harbor tourists to once again tiptoe on the paths less travelled. Pakistan is blessed with breathtaking views of mountains and meadows of Azad Kashmir, Chitral, Hunza, Naran, Kaghan, Swat and Skardu etc.
Hazards of terrorism
Since the hazards of terrorism the tourism in Pakistan was considered vulnerable and people from many countries refused to enter Pakistan due to its critical condition. Swat is one of the prettiest places to visit, but due to Taliban’s interference in that area made it impossible to visit for civilians. But after different operations carried out by Pakistan Army, made it possible for everyone to enjoy the greenery and pleasant meadows of Swat. Similarly the law and order situation as well as lack of facilities was also a barrier between tourism.
As terrorism retreats in Pakistan, tourism appears to increase, with more than twice or thrice the number of international tourists travelling to the country in 2016 as compared to just three years ago, Bloomberg reported.
