Pakistan Super League (PSL) have managed to maintain its name in the top international leagues like IPL, CPL and BPL after just two seasons. The hype of PSL 3rd edition had already stormed the internet after Multan Sultans- the sixth franchise of PSL have officially made its way to much awaited event with the possibility of this season to be held in the heart of South Asia i.e. Pakistan.
The Black-Gold logo with the Green background symbolizes power and visually positions was unveiled last week in an event in Karachi with a slogan ‘’CRICKET KAY TOOFAN’’.
What’s better than the inclusion of King of Swing and Former Captain of Pakistan Waseem Akram in the newly Franchise Multan Sultans as the director of cricket operations. Mr. Akram who coached Islamabad United in the 1st and 2nd edition of PSL previously had a diverse experience of more than 30 years in all formats and departments of Cricket.
The game will be even more enthralling as it will feature Multan Sultan and will be a treat for the crowd who will enjoy more home games after the recent visit of World XI earlier this month.
Tom moody the former Australian star have been assigned as the head coach of the team. ‘I trust Tom for he is the ideal man for this role. He had years of coaching experiences with various franchises, which makes him play an important role in nurturing young talent and player progress.’
‘I am overjoyed to be the part of PSL franchise. I am all charged to work with my old mate Wasim Akram and looking forward to being involved with Multan Sultans next year for the PSL’, said Moody in a video message.
It was reported earlier that the Two W’s will be part of the same franchise which seem to be not happening at the moment as Waqar Younis have been hired to join the Islamabad united Club in the third edition.
PSL had contributed a lot in providing the platform for the domestic players who been desperately looking for international exposure after the Sri Lankan team was attacked in 2010.
The Dubai based Schon group have already made headlines after it have attained the most expensive Multan Franchise worth estimating $42 million for a period of 8 years in a bid held earlier this year surpassing Karachi Kings.

Multan Sultans enter the league at a time when Pakistani cricket is experiencing a high with a recent visit of World XI team and Champions Trophy thrilling game which seen as a triumph against India.
There are clear indicators of an event full of entertainment in year 2018, which will not only change the image of Pakistan but also boost the morale of players from domestic and clubs who haven’t seen much international matches since the Sri Lankan Cricket attack in 2009.
